Pagan Weddings Explained

A handfasting ceremony is the equivalent of a Pagan wedding.

Couples have their wrists tied together with rope, cord or ribbon while they say their vows.

The tying symbolises a couples desire to be bonded together and their commitment and love for each other.

The tying element originates from shaking hands over a deal and is thought to be the origin of the phrase tying the knot.

Now his latest book goes after bigger game: God Almighty.

Actually, “The Evolution of God” never grapples with t

An Irishman’s Diary

Did your neighbourhood light a bonfire last night at sunset and watch it until the early hours of this morning? If so, you probably live west of the Shannon, or in Cork, or in one of the other dwindling pockets of an old pagan tradition that has survived discouragement from Christianity, the fire brigades, and – latterly – the Environmental Protection Agency.

Road Renamed After Rabbi To Stop Neo-Nazis Picking Up Litter

Officials in Missouri have renamed a road after a Second World War rabbi in an attempt to dissuade a neo-Nazi group from taking part in a litter-picking scheme.

The move came after the Springfield unit of the National Socialist Movement signed up to clear rubbish from a section of Highway 160 near the city limits.

The state found it had no way to reject the group’s application, saying member
